In the House - Serving South Carroll

During her first term, Susan earned one of the highest ratings for her voting record on business-related legislation, according to Maryland Business for Responsive Government. She sponsored a number of legislative initiatives, including bills to reduce Maryland’s estate tax and business depreciation tax.

In efforts to help families, Susan won unanimous approval for her bill protecting children who attend daycare centers. Working closely with the Ehrlich Administration, Susan helped South Carroll schools, roads and other programs to capture state funds that eluded them under the previous governor. Susan stands with Governor Ehrlich against all sales and income tax increases, as well as punitive taxes that prevent business and industry from creating more jobs. She has cast vote after vote against taxes on everything from HMOs to sun tanning. As a member of the Maryland Veterans Caucus, Susan helped win an income tax break for our brave military retirees in Maryland.

The Krebs family welcomes Governor Ehrlich during his visit to her event at Baldwin’s Station in Sykesville.

Susan serves on the Economic Matters Committee and on the Business Regulation Subcommittee and the Banking, Economic Development, Science & Technology Subcommittee. She also serves on the Public Utilities Work Group.

In addition, she is a member of the Governor’s Workforce Investment Board; the Maryland Advisory Commission on Manufacturing Competitiveness; Women Legislators of Maryland; National Conference of State Legislatures (financial services committee); and American Legislative Exchange Council (commerce, insurance & economic development task force).

Delegate Krebs joins State Veterans Secretary George Owings in upholding our military families.
