Krebs conservative on the issues
Editor:
Contrary to her political opponent's allegations, incumbent 9B
Delegate Susan Krebs has one of the most consistently conservative
voting records among members of the Carroll County delegation.
The Maryland Accountability Project, a non-profit watchdog group,
rates all the legislators from both the House and the Senate based
on their voting records. Their Web site explains their mission as
follows: "While MAP does not take positions on these bills, MAP uses
the conservative position on these issues as the basis to determine
each legislator's voting pattern, whether it be conservative or
liberal."
Krebs' most recent rating is higher than Del. Tanya Shewell, Sen.
Larry Haines and significantly higher than Sen. Allan Kittleman. Her
rating is the same as Del. Nancy Stocksdale. In the prior year,
Krebs' rating was the same as former Del. Carmen Amedori and higher
than Stocksdale's.
The record also shows that Krebs is a firm supporter of the
conservative principle of local control and accountability. Her
votes reflect her belief that it is destructive to have the state
legislature meddling in local county affairs.
I urge all residents of South Carroll to look beyond the rhetoric
and look at Krebs' voting record. You will see that she is
representing our interests well.
Remember to vote in the primary on Sept. 12.
